Sean Oh is a writer, illustrator, designer, and comic artist working in children’s literature and visual storytelling.

His belief that picture books can be enjoyable for readers of all ages, without limits on how stories are told, drew him to the picture book form.

Humor is a big part of his practices. Animals, everyday moments, and a child’s way of noticing the world appear frequently in his stories.

Bringing together his skills in writing, illustration, design, and comics, Sean runs a small creative practice called Common Quails Studio. Through it, he creates character-driven comics, and story-based projects that value clarity, warmth, and honesty.

Sean received a Merit Award from the 3x3 International Illustration Annual No. 17, and his work My Dream Pets was a finalist in the Unpublished Picture Book Showcase 2 by dPIC
